My little avocado babies

Some avocados I bought a while back ended up not going soft after a week, and when I finally cut into them, they looked like they were trying to sprout, so I looked after them and they started growing!

That one is the “bigger” sibling. It has big, bright green leaves.

This is the younger sibling. It took longer to sprout; I had to peel away the shell of the seed. It’s got a slightly thicker stem and possibly the same height or marginally taller, but smaller and darker leaves.

I hope these grow up OK… unless I get bored first!

Reine’s Xmas 2017 cooking

Because I realised I still haven’t posted this. So here is the cooking I did during Christmas in 2017. Played a lot with my live marron, whose names were Tiffany and Jake, and Jake was the feistier one.
