Linkin Park – From Zero world tour

Wow.

I don’t know why, but this was definitely totally a step up from my first Linkin Park concert experience (or maybe it’s just my memory fading and they were equally awesome)!

Except I do wish I booked the pit, the seats were fine but my goodness the absolute excitement and energy of the pit is just something else! I’m not sure I have the stamina these days to compete for front row haha, though it does seem like LPU is the way to go – they even had a VIP line for merch! I really wanted to flex my LPU membership but I had nothing to buy, so instead I just watched the line as other people picked up goodies.

Qudos arena is much bigger than the Living Things concert and it was interesting to see how many people skipped the supporting act and only started really filling up just before the main performance. One thing I really enjoyed about being seated was seeing the pit in its entirety, including all the circle pits and walls of death! And when everyone started jumping up and down at the same time, it reminded me of excited teenagers all bopping along excitedly!

Stadium was absolutely packed! Though I wonder what the third level up was and why that ring was mostly empty…

The countdown begins!!!

My phone takes terrible zoom pics haha

Lasers! Lasers everywhere! So many flashing lights!

Confetti!!!

Mike even went down and started his rap solo, I love how he interacts with the crowd! On the Saturday he rapped a verse from Reading My Eyes which was very cool! I totally failed at being a super fan and even though I recognised the words, I couldn’t pinpoint which demo it was from. But very fun!!!

Emily is so awesome!!! And she was sick and still performed with so much energy (she jumped off from the big drum but I had put my phone away), I love how she represents the band!!

My two favourite songs (entire discography and From Zero specifically) got sung which I was very happy out – Waiting for the End and Overflow. I kind of wished there were more From Zero tracks, but I loved hearing Emily’s rendition of all the songs they did sing, including a very nice Where’d You Go as well as Lost!!

I didn’t dehydrate or lose my voice this time, and my hearing didn’t get blasted too badly either! I had tried out some Loop earplugs for the supporting act but I very quickly realised it’d block out too much of what I wanted to hear so I took them out for the rest of the night and it didn’t end up being too bad! What a great show!

Another tour sometime?????????? Please????????
