  • Vampirachnids etc.

The other night I had a fantastic dream where I had to save the world yet again from the neverending forces of evil. My special powers this time round included invisibility, flight and the ability to dissipate into a gas/steam-like substance. I was on the hunt for floating pieces of magical bronze armour while evading the detection of enemies who patrolled each area. The first piece I touched was easy, and it immediately evaporated. I still had to get out of there quickly, since touching one took me to another plane where I had to escape a dense cloud of explosive pink orbs.

The second (and last) piece I had to extinguish was much tougher to do, as the patrol here was an ice lady. As I rushed towards the armour, I conjured ice around her neck and threw her into some nearby water, because fighting ice with ice was totally the logical and correct thing to do. I may have had a sidekick at this point, as I tried to then freezeΒ the ice ladyΒ in the water. I was most definitely a genius in my dream. GENIUS.

  • Reaffirmation of eccentricity

This post is just to confirm that I am the ultimate genius for making an all powerful entity that actually has a vegetable peeler mode.

    THAT IS ALL.

  • OMG my blog dieded ;_;

    It broke and everything exploded.

I will be melting my mind trying to restore things πŸ™‚

In other news I ate an awesome rhubarb pavlova from Bill’s in Darlinghurst today. The cream offset the tartness of the rhubarb very nicely, and the meringue was made with brown sugar, which was different. The added honey I think wasn’t necessary, but did add another bit of flavour to it. Now my taste for pavlova has been forever snobbified!

  • Glitter bottle awaits

I AM NOT PREPARED. I don’t know what I’m saying. Also, my brain hurts!

My brother’s inverted lens is awesome though πŸ™‚

  • BLEGH CAMPOS AND ITS COFFEE

I don’t get it. I just don’t like Campos coffee. Not even at Campos itself. But I have no idea why!

Random rant is random, with more stuff to come later.

  • Ultimate ears pains

    My left ear hurts.

A few weeks ago my right ear hurt.

    πŸ™

For some reason my ultimate ears aren’t as tightly connected as my old Audio Technicas. Those things used to be awesome until I got my new headphones. I never had an issues with my ATs, but these UEs tend to squidge around really loudly in my ears, especially with the way I walk. And basically it turns out if I’m even slightly careless and end up tangling my arms and legs with my cords (yes), I end up tugging the actual headphone out, but the actual bud stays in my ear (luckily it doesn’t get stuck there), and somehow this rip causes a lot of pain and ends up leaving my ear ringing for a good hour.

I kind of want to go back to my ATs because they didn’t kill me when I was careless, but then again I am being bad.

I also I want more fivefingers. And turns out cultured butter doesn’t taste like off milk. πŸ™‚

  • Heels

I don’t think I’ll ever understand why women love shoes and heels. Maybe it’s because my feet are funny. I decided to buy some sort of heels the other day that were only slightly pointy-open-toed, and wore them for one day… and then everything died. It was so hard to walk and keep balanced, and it’s not because I’m unco. I have incredible toe strength for balance and ultimate control! Basically my big toes were dying and all my other toes were being crushed, and I couldn’t jump, run or walk as fast as I usually do. I was going to blame it on having wide feet, but now I am proud of them and the fact that I can splay my toes out like a monkey. This means I have the awesome ability to trick 6 year olds into thinking I have magical feet that can pick up mugs and pass them around.

I mean, if you wear heels you get no backward stability and squashed toes means no forward stability so you fall over with a little bit of a shove. Also tiny heels might hurt if you get stepped on by them but fat heels are the way to go for crushing bugs. Unless your aim is really good. Also heels and pointy toes lead to ugly and deformed feet that won’t fit into five fingers, and bleed when blisters form and then you end up having to throw potatoes at it.Β I just realised all that probably made very little sense outside of my head.

Either way, I think I am destined to wearing five fingers and thongs since my feet are too sensitive barefoot and no other shoes fit me 100%. Plus I am the super destroyer of any kind of heel, even flat ones because I stomp.

    ITS SPUNKY FUNKY MONKEY TIME

  • Aesop vs Lush

    HAPPY NEW YEARS

Since it’s a new year I should start replacing some of my skin care products. I have years-old Body Shop stuff, but I want to replace it with fresh stuff. The thing I like about Lush is that they use real fruit and stuff, so it feels better – smashing bananas and whatnot into my face.

Aesop also uses real ingredients but is a more high end product, so therefore is more expensive. However, some items are cheaper (compared to Lush). So this time I will have a combination of Lush and Aesop and phase out most of the Body Shop.

… and last year I figured I was poor and would stop buying these things. Hey, I’m downgrading! Gak, I will miss you.

  • iiNode and the P

So today I found out that iiNet bought Internode, which now makes the iiNode machine. That was very exciting news indeed, and probably means a lot of changes to everything internet related and another attack from TPG prevented. Yaaaay!

Also, I ate two fruit mince pies today. I have a weird relationship with fruit mince pies. I don’t particularly like the flavour but I do enjoy them as they only come out once a year. The ones from Pattison’s Pattiserie are the best. Can’t remember what the ones from Baker’s Delight taste like, but the ones from Workshop Espresso are a little too dry for my liking (also they are $4), and the ones from Becasse in Westfield Sydney are too moist and large, becoming a rather overwhelming experience for me. Since the Pattison’s are only $2.50 and have just the right balance of fruit and jam for the perfect size and moistness, they are the most awesome πŸ™‚

And there’s more P in the fact that I now have half a wardrobe full of Pilgrim clothes. I like that store, and Portmans for some reason. They have really pretty stuff and it gets way cheaper than RRP, though technically they’re still a little on the expensive side.

  • Welcome to the gingerbread family

I would almost make an ice cream sandwich pun, but that would have been very bad.

Went to Swallow this morning in the hopes of interesting nibbles. Alas, there was no fruit mince pie, but there was a gingerbread family to be had! It wasn’t until I got home and opened it that I realised that it was an entire family for real.
