806 hours played… not bad! I don’t think I can get a 5BC 5 boss modified boss rush flawless though… that’s definitely beyond my skill level!

Swan Lake has made me 1% more cultured!
Dear Diary,
Yesterday I went and watched Swan Lake by the WA Ballet Company. It was a last minute decision; two years ago I wanted to watch Dracula but alas, lockdowns meant that my ticket had to be cancelled, and so I exchanged them for a voucher that was valid for three years – and as a spur of the moment thing, decided to see what was on and found that Swan Lake was being performed!
I actually didn’t know what it was about at all, and only skim read the synopsis. All I knew is that it had been interpreted into a WA specific context, and it was actually really interesting! Plus now I realise the “Swan Lake” music – before it had just always been stuff I’d heard but not known the origins, and now I know!
The performance was pretty amazing! Ballet takes so much strength, grace, and skill! Makes me miss my dancing days!
Maybe I’ll book more theatre stuff next year!

Wow 5BC 5 boss modified boss rush is hard! I made so many mistakes on the winning run but still managed to make it!

Making fancy pasta
I should probably post about something other than games too! I found some interesting pasta a while back, capunti pasta with some vegetable sugo I made myself, and then mixed in with coarsely chopped fatty beef shortrib, and mixed in with some truffle tomato sauce. It ended up being super tasty even though it looks like there’s not enough sauce; there’s definitely enough flavour!

Dead cells is insaner
Remember how I said I was stuck at 3BC? I managed to push forward and complete 4BC!
My current progress in 5BC. But it was getting a bit tough and grindy, because I’m no good at not getting hit while also rushing through levels. It got to the point where I was running the same biomes over and over again, so I did some side achievements and then finally bought the DLC…
I got my 0BC queen kill but she’s pretty difficult!
And my current roadblock for DLC content is reliably getting to and killing the servants, so that I can have another shot trying to kill the queen on 2BC – she’s got some nifty tricks! I decided to skip 1BC because I’m crazy….

Dead Cells is insane
I played for ages not being able to defeat the Hand of the King, and then watched my friend defeat him on his third playthrough.
Turns out watching someone else play made me see how the game works, and then I proceeded to kill the hand up to 2 boss cells! Yay!
But then I only made it to the hand on 3BC because I had the invisibility necklace lol. I can’t reliably reach the throne room on 2BC still! What an insane game XD

Mantis B win!
This was the easiest win I’ve had, 4x boarding mantis are amazing! I lost one because I mistimed the mind control with the teleport in the med bay, but I was nigh untouchable for most of the fight, it was amazing! I got super lucky with a reverse ion field and zoltan bypass!

FTL Engi Victory!
It only took me 10 years and 230 hours of playtime to finally get my stupid Engi victory. I got lucky with a 2nd Ion weapon and ended up winning with just basics!
I did do some stupid things and lost good crew, I barely scraped through XD
Less than 3% win rate ugh
