I am so bad at colours it’s not even funny. But this did turn out better than The Magician’s Apprentice so I can’t really complain. I think I should stick to pencil. But I mean, I’ll only get better if I actually practice digital even if it kills me, right? Plus I’m overambitious and want to do a River version too…
Ok this is my best work yet even though it’s so far from accurate that I actually still hate it. I feel like I’ve spammed a lot of pictures but haven’t rambled much!

I am so bad at the digital stuff still. I mean my pencil work is still not where I want it to be, but the digital drawing from scratch is insane. It just doesn’t feel as tactile still. Also, the digital versions suffer the same issue with faces not being right as I do with pencil drawings. Sigh.
But I will continue to practice aaaah.
Did I mention how hard it is to draw frizzy wavy hair? I feel like i have to shake my hand all funny to achieve it XD
I KEEP GETTING THE ANGLES WRONG AND THE HAIR DIDNT EXTEND THAT FAR INTO THE RECTANGLE SHAPE AAAAHHHHHH
But I can’t help but keep trying 😀

August 3 update: I tried to fix it and got marginally better so here’s a bigger pic:
Trying out something different – a realism drawing completely from scratch. I actually like it for my first attempt! Though there’s heaps wrong with it… but considering I clocked in at 2hours 19mins, that’s pretty good for a first try.
