  • Trying a shiny glowy anime style!

    Ah it feels kind of refreshing, but at the same time I really just want to focus on my own characters. I took so much from the characters I admired and made them my own, but this was definitely fun!

    I specifically wanted to practise a more “glowy” style with backlighting and just more depth and saturation than before, and I’m happy with the results!

    Also Jujutsu Kaisen is such a silly over the top show. Very fun to watch, though I didn’t expect to not become obsessed with Gojo immediately. He’s definitely the arrogant powerful outwardly happy type that I like but the lack of backstory seems to have made him not interesting to me! So I have a feeling season 2 will change that for sure. In the meantime, I think Inumaki Toge is amazing so I decided to draw him instead!

  • King of Demons

    Yet another fantastic picture of Freik! This time showcasing his demon tendrils too! I accidentally made his chains glow though, and realistically, he wouldn’t be sitting on a dragon themed throne, but I just wanted something for the picture.

    Because for some reason I couldn’t think of a better title. I do really like how his skull shoulders turn out! Should I make the glowing eyes permanent? They will glow to indicate a specific skill maybe.

  • I’ll Tear Through You Like This Baguette

    Part of my out of context baguette series! I wanted to draw a finished picture of one of my characters with a random baguette, and decided it’d be fun to do one with Freik chomping on one in a threatening manner. Then, somehow I also wondered if the demons of my world are kind of like monotremes, since they’re mammal like, but also egg laying. That then lead to the fattypus on the t-shirt, after I realised Freik in a platypus onesie didn’t quite look right haha.

    And that anime finger whorl! I finally drew one!

  • Somm Night In

    Whoops I forgot to actually upload this as soon as I’d finished it. I saw a photo of a master sommelier sniffing wine with his pinky in the air and it was so hilarious that I had to draw my own version of it, so Ris, Soulfear, and Freik took on their sommelier personas once again (this is the first time Freik gets to play somm!). Freik kind of got squished at the end though, and when I tried to redraw it to give him more space, I ran out of focus and the whole thing turned out terrible, so I stuck with this version.

    Why did I give Freik a shot of whisky instead of partaking in the enjoyment of some barolo? I have no idea lol

  • Freik, Demonic Guardian

    Ah it’s been far too long since I’ve drawn Freik! I also had an argument after my last attempt in Photoshop, so I finally tried out Clip Studio Paint in earnest. The colours are much more muted but that green glow is so saturated! I need more practice with it!

    Loool what have I done!

    I was making funny faces during pigeon selfies and decided I should give some of those faces to my characters. I think it’s a terrible pic that looks like it was drawn by a child, but I did put effort into three panels so I’m proud of it anyway!

    They are so out of character, it’s hilarious!
