I am the Creator of the End of the World
Ok this one has a huge backstory, especially as this scene is set at the end of the story. Irutha and her group have made it to the library. Broen is critically injured but determined to see this through, while Makrie has no idea what’s coming (well none of them do except Irutha). The drones in the background (i.e. the pigeons) are just for show – everyone knows that Irutha can’t be stopped now. She’s going to use the Inserendis weapon to make her ending for this world. Yeah, lots of drama and weird concepts! Remind me I have no idea how to draw injured people hahaha, that’s why it looks like Broen doesn’t have a scratch on him, when he’s supposed to be half dead…

Couch Hogger
Ris being silly while Irutha is infinitely tolerant, even while her arm is totally squished. It’s funny, I’ve tried to not have mobile phones in my drawings because I feel like it heavily dates the drawing to current times instead of some nondescript fantasy timeline but it just seemed right that she would be playing a phone game in that position, so here we are!

Inverseria
Fool’s dagger! I’ve never drawn it properly, it’s always been sketched in as part of her drawings, rather than being a standalone thing. Every time I draw it, it turns out slightly different, so I wanted this to be a template/baseline – though I think it will continue to change every time I draw it haha, since I haven’t resolved all the metal bits to my own satisfaction. It’s such a pretty dagger!

Date Night / Dessert Thief
A dual title because this is a combination of two ideas for the same scene! Abek and Peln are on their date night, which in itself is a cute pic. However, in that scene, they’re so distracted, that they ignore the dessert they ordered. Cue Odara, who’s just off to the side and sees this as the perfect opportunity to sneak a second dessert in!
Also from a recent theatre adventure watching the Echoes of Van Gogh ballet performance, there were these beautiful sunflower skirts that all the dancers wore. I couldn’t help but imagine that Abek would absolutely love wearing one, and that he found one at the shops and is talking dirty to Peln – “wanna see a new skirt I bought today?”.
And of course Odara then swoops in for a chunk of strawberry cake!

Treats???
This island had a small and dense forest, where insects that hung from strands floated amongst the trees, their web-like material sparkling as if there was a canopy of fairy lights above them. Small flowers glowed pink and purple underfoot. Odara looked around, as if expecting to find something here. After a few moments of nothing, she reached onto her pocket and brought out a pouch of smoked meat. She motioned for Peln to come to her, and as he did, a burst of golden light jumped out from seemingly nowhere. Odara put her hand to his sword arm, to indicate there was no danger, and eventually the flash settled into a small wyvern with golden fur, pushing its snout into her hand for the treats. As it ate out of her hand, she handed the rest of the pouch to Peln. As if it knew, it immediately lost interest with the captain, and instead began to poke around Peln’s hands. The fur wasn’t as soft as it looked, instead having a bristle-like quality about them. Its eyes were dark against its glowing fur, uninterested in the humans and solely trying to find the source of food that it smelled.
I don’t have a name for the furry golden winged ferret thing yet, or a final design, I simply drew what was simple and sort of fit what I had in mind!

Demon
Because for some reason I couldn’t think of a better title. I do really like how his skull shoulders turn out! Should I make the glowing eyes permanent? They will glow to indicate a specific skill maybe.
