Ah MoonEye! The hardest to draw of all my “first” characters. This is technically MoonEye + 18 years, here’s when I last felt I had a proper drawing of him:
I upgraded him from a wizard robe to a kimono, but even then I wasn’t happy with all my attempts to draw him. It wasn’t until I decided to add a haori a few days ago that finally I thought I could get something good, and I did!
But I still didn’t have a pattern in mind, so I just went with fish scales for now. The haori on the other hand, I do like the patterning – even though it’s vastly different from the original photo, the leaves are meant to be the same as those from the trees in the Land of Falling Caterpillars!
Ah it’s been far too long since I’ve drawn Freik! I also had an argument after my last attempt in Photoshop, so I finally tried out Clip Studio Paint in earnest. The colours are much more muted but that green glow is so saturated! I need more practice with it!
Uuuugh I hate this so much I blame the lineart that I messed up multiple times, I was lazy and didn’t lineart it properly when I drew it in pencil and I only have myself to blame but I have to post everything right because how else will I get beetttterrrrrr
I’ve been too afraid to try this drawing even though I’ve wanted to for a while. There’s this fear that I won’t capture his likeness, and the main mission – drawing hands! These hands are hard! But it’s a style of hands that I’ve not drawn before and it was my main focus.
Everything about this drawing was impossible lol. What are abs and how do I draw them??? Also I don’t think those are his final tattoos; I am simply terrible with tattoo design and ideas because that’s art on art and that’s too much art for me!
My computer monitor looks nothing like my phone screen, and I need to get better with colours, so I decided to go get some of my digital pieces printed today!
It was just a standard Officeworks print on heavy paper, but omg why is everything so off lol. My monitor is definitely not calibrated; everything I do on the screen looks lighter than every other devices, and these prints show it too!
I’m no good at figuring out how to make my monitor accurate though ugh zzz
I’m so productive when it comes to drawing when I’m not busy playing games or doing other extra curriculars! This is the Makrie version of The Beginning of Humanity. Except I forgot that I’d called Irutha’s version what it was, which is why I thought this was the number 2 version of it. Oh well!
This picture occurs at the exact same time as Irutha’s version – they are in separate locations looking up to see the Inserendis weapon fire. For Irutha, she knows it represents the beginning of humanity. For Makrie, it marks the end of her life as an android, and after the event, wakes up as a full human.
