And a side of narcissism.
So I took some leave and spent it all on a somewhat pseudo but mostly fantastic coffee adventure crawly thing. I figured that since I love coffee so much, I’d take leave just to have as much as possible. And when people at work asked me what I was taking leave for, my answer was COFFEE.
My brother decided to get a micro four thirds thingymajig, as his DSLR is too bulky and he doesn’t want to use whatever point and shoot he has. He ended up getting a Sony Nex 5N and set me on a mission to go take pictures with it. In a way it was also a way for me to figure out whether I wanted to use one or not, and wow, even though I thought I was getting most of my manual focus shots OK, turns out only about half of my pictures actually worked.
So my first project was to take pictures of food. I specifically ordered a flat white to test out my skills, but it turns out none of my 4 or 5 shots were actually 100% in focus. So instead all I have to present are two awesomely lit photos of short blacks (some sort of Colombian single origin I believe) sitting next to their decor.
And of course, I fail at taking photos so the best photo taken, ever, was by my boyfriend:

Yesterday there were a group of chickens randomly running around near a fire station. They were so cute! Now I want some chickens too. They are so cute and easy to take care of! And I would be able to get some mighty tasty eggs. Mmmmmmmm!
And also, coffee is yummy. I bought a Swallow t-shirt! I’m so happy. Wheeeeeeee!
So this weekend I went to Zensation, after I was asked the question, “which is better, The Tea Centre or T2?” and the answer that good old Google gave me was “ZENSATION”
The only thing that I wasn’t sure about was the fact that they don’t sell black teas, only the asian stuff. However, when I got there, it didn’t matter, because the place was so awesome looking with an awesome dog looking after the place.
So I just found out Dyson now makes an air multiplier that does hot AND cold. That is my dream come truueeee!
I must have one.
Although I agree with my brother that it is not the prettiest design, but meh
I’ve decided I’m going to try and coin the term “TGV brain” because I think it sounds cool. I told my brother and he thought I was silly, since he figures that it’s too obscure. But that’s the best bit, because I love being obscure so that no one understands me 🙂 I got it from the crazy people on TV who can deduce things super ultra fantastic quick.
Also I would love to collect all different types of teas and brew them cause it’s cool.
The other night I had a fantastic dream where I had to save the world yet again from the neverending forces of evil. My special powers this time round included invisibility, flight and the ability to dissipate into a gas/steam-like substance. I was on the hunt for floating pieces of magical bronze armour while evading the detection of enemies who patrolled each area. The first piece I touched was easy, and it immediately evaporated. I still had to get out of there quickly, since touching one took me to another plane where I had to escape a dense cloud of explosive pink orbs.
The second (and last) piece I had to extinguish was much tougher to do, as the patrol here was an ice lady. As I rushed towards the armour, I conjured ice around her neck and threw her into some nearby water, because fighting ice with ice was totally the logical and correct thing to do. I may have had a sidekick at this point, as I tried to then freeze the ice lady in the water. I was most definitely a genius in my dream. GENIUS.
This post is just to confirm that I am the ultimate genius for making an all powerful entity that actually has a vegetable peeler mode.
THAT IS ALL.
It broke and everything exploded.
I will be melting my mind trying to restore things 🙂
In other news I ate an awesome rhubarb pavlova from Bill’s in Darlinghurst today. The cream offset the tartness of the rhubarb very nicely, and the meringue was made with brown sugar, which was different. The added honey I think wasn’t necessary, but did add another bit of flavour to it. Now my taste for pavlova has been forever snobbified!
